Changes at the office

As part of the new ownership of the company, we now have an information security policy. Part of this policy pretty much states that you have absolutely no privacy at the office. Also, we have a policy that essentially says, "If you're on the clock with us, you work for only us. Save your other work for when you're not here."

As such, I am going to request that anyone who has contacted me about business-related items while I am at the office - such as your hosting account with me or a website I helped you out with - not do so unless it's an absolute emergency. This includes e-mail, phone calls, or instant messages. This also means I have decided to remove my personal e-mail account from my Thunderbird configuration at the office, so anything sent to my personal e-mail will have to wait until I'm home from work.

I think this is going to work out for the better on my part though, as I'll hopefully be able to separate work and personal time.

That's a good policy. We need that here.
